Machine learning and deep learning are the two engines inside the intelligence layer. Machine learning (ML) learns patterns from examples. Supervised learning trains on labelled data \u2014 a model learns to predict an outcome from the inputs that came before it. Unsupervised learning finds structure without labels: groups, anomalies, and the shape of data no one had catalogued. Either way, the work is the same: prepare the data, train the model, evaluate it on data it has never seen, and repeat until the result is good enough to trust \u2014 then keep watching it, because data changes and models drift.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Deep learning (DL) is machine learning with neural networks \u2014 layers of simple units that learn, step by step, to represent what matters. Convolutional networks (CNNs) read images; recurrent networks and transformers read sequences \u2014 text, speech, time series. Transformers are the architecture behind today’s large language models. We build with PyTorch and TensorFlow, the two frameworks the field runs on, and we train on your data, not on a demo set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A model is only as good as its evaluation. We hold out data the model never saw in training, measure it honestly, and compare it against a simple baseline \u2014 a model that beats a simple rule by a little, measurably, is worth more than one that claims a lot and proves nothing. After deployment, MLOps keeps the loop honest: experiment tracking, versioning, a model registry, and monitoring for drift, so a model that starts to go stale is caught and retrained \u2014 or retired. A human reviews any consequential decision the model recommends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That is how ML and DL fit the intelligence layer: the model is one component in a governed pipeline \u2014 data in, prediction out, evaluation, and a human in charge of the decision. The technology is the same whether the model scores fraud, reads a document, or forecasts demand. What changes is the data and the decision it serves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
